Service Manager – Facilities Management (FM) (Permanent Full-Time)
Location: Blandford Camp, Dorset, DT11 8RH
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time Salary: £40,000 – £44,000

The Role: Service Manager (On-Site)
VIVO is seeking an experienced Service Manager to serve as the single point of contact between VIVO, the Head of Establishment, and the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) for all Hard FM (Facilities Management) service delivery matters on-site.
Key Responsibilities
You will lead and oversee the following:
- Reactive and Planned Maintenance:
- Direct the delivery of all maintenance services, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, Ministry of Defence (MOD) requirements, and health and safety standards.
- Manage direct teams and supply partners to achieve KPIs, maintain accurate Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) documentation, and resolve customer issues and complaints promptly.

Establishment Support:
- Develop a strong operational understanding of the establishment’s priorities in collaboration with the Head of Establishment.
- Maintain key schedules and documentation, including:
- Establishment Specific Task Schedules (ESTS)
- Forward Additional Services Plans (FASP)
- Statements of Need
- Support sustain, maintain, and change requirements across the MOD estate.

Statutory Compliance & Risk Management:
- Oversee compliance with mandatory tasks, ensuring overdue items are properly risk-assessed in consultation with stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to support MOD Net Zero objectives, initiating Billable Works where applicable.

On-Call Coverage:
- Actively participate in the on-call rota as required.
Requirements
We are looking for a highly experienced FM professional with:

Industry Expertise:
- Proven background in FM service delivery, ideally within a regulated or defence environment.
- Experience in managing maintenance services, teams, and supply partners.

Technical & Compliance Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of safe systems of work, statutory compliance, and customer-focused service delivery.
- Essential technical qualifications in building services or engineering, alongside:
- IOSH (or equivalent) health and safety certification
- Emergency first aid and fire safety training
- Experience acting as—or supporting—the Asbestos Responsible Person and Legionella Responsible Person.
