Service Manager - Safeguarding and Review - Childrenโs Services
Location: Dudley, England, United Kingdom
Contract: Interim, 6 months
JOB SUMMARY
(Qualified Social Worker only)
Due to an internal secondment of the substantive post holder, the Dudley Council is looking for an Interim Service Manager for the Children in Care IRO team for a period of 6 months.
Dudley has a restorative practice framework, and we are looking for an experienced social work manager to lead our team of Independent Reviewing Officers in relational practice that promotes children's participation in planning their care, nurturing safe relationships with their birth family and providing support and challenge to the social work teams.

The post holder will hold the statutory function of IRO service manager.

Experience of being an IRO or previous experience of managing IROs is required, as well as experience at service manager level.
The role is hybrid with the expectation to be on site at least 3 days a week and no condensed hours.
