Service Planning Process and Data Lead
The Service Planning Process and Data Lead is responsible for leading the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of global service planning processes, Kinaxis capability, and master data quality across VSS service supply chains.
The role exists to improve planning capability, drive best-practice adoption, resolve master data issues through root cause analysis, and enable effective process change across global stakeholders to improve supply chain performance.
Short Description
The Service Planning Process and Data Lead operates globally, supporting:
- Service planning process improvement
- Kinaxis capability development
- Master data quality
- Best-practice deployment across VSS global service supply chains
The role engages with:
- Planning teams
- Service logistics
- Supply chain and IT
- Data owners
- Operational teams
- Regional stakeholders
- Business division representatives
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and resolving planning and master data issues impacting supply chain performance
- Analysing issues across systems such as SAP and Kinaxis, conducting root cause investigations
- Influencing stakeholders to implement corrective process improvements
- Managing flexible working hours to align with global stakeholder needs (workshops, project milestones, system deployments)
- Maintaining, supporting, and resolving issues for Power BI reports and dashboards used in service planning to ensure accuracy and reliability
Key challenges:
- Driving consistent service planning processes across decentralised global operations
- Enhancing Kinaxis adoption and planning capabilities among diverse stakeholders
- Resolving material master data issues causing operational disruptions
- Influencing process and data ownership where direct authority is limited
- Ensuring best practices embed effectively across regions
- Supporting software deployment and advanced planning system implementations while maintaining business continuity
- Translating complex data/system issues into clear business actions
- Coordinating across multiple cultures, functions, and time zones

Your Skills And Experience
Education / Experience
Minimum 10+ years relevant experience in:
- Supply chain, service logistics, planning, master data, or planning systems Ideal if you:
- Are a member of a professional supply chain body (e.g., CSCP, APICS)
- Have experience supporting or leading:
- Process improvement projects
- System deployment or software change
- Advanced planning systems (preferably Kinaxis or SAP ERP)
- Proven ability to:
- Analyze master data challenges and drive cross-functional resolution
- International experience is advantageous
Knowledge Areas / Skills
Must-haves:
- Strong understanding of service planning, supply chain planning, inventory management, and master data processes
- Deep knowledge of planning system data requirements (material master data, planning parameters)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills
- Proficient in Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, and willing to learn:
- New technologies
- Planning systems
- Digital solutions
- AI-enabled tools
Nice-to-haves:
- Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis
- Mastery of regression or advanced analytics
Personal Competencies
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across global teams
- Ability to create clear process documentation, work instructions, and training materials
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and proactive
- Capable of both independent work and collaborative team environments
