Service Project Manager
As a Service Project Manager at Hitachi Energy
You play a key role in the successful and safe execution of projects and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Your sound judgement and solid expertise will help you deliver the best possible results each time.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll lead, coach, and mentor a talented team of engineers and technicians, and contribute to the strategy and growth of Transformer Service by delivering high-quality, cost-effective projects and solutions in line with our processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines.

Impact You’ll Make
- Focus on providing the best possible customer service while identifying new business opportunities
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously from start to finish
- Plan, coordinate, and control every aspect, including:
- Costings
- Procurement
- Budget control
- Technical requirements
- Resource allocation
- Supply chain management
- Align all activities with design requirements, commercial, financial, contractual, and QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety & Environment) implications
- Plan, coordinate, and control every aspect, including:
- Manage project delivery, including:
- Site reporting
- Commercial, financial, contractual, and QHSE oversight
- Strive to develop, monitor, and review progress to ensure work stays on schedule, within cost and quality estimates
- Operate as a high-performing team leader, driving successful project outcomes
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager and Tendering Team to support business growth
- Build open and transparent relationships, both internally and externally, ensuring clarity in expectations, mitigating challenges, and delivering seamless customer experiences

Your Background & Skills
The ideal candidate possesses:
- A strong background in project engineering with extensive experience in the energy sector
- Proven expertise in managing high-value projects, with full accountability for:
- Cost, quality, and schedule adherence
- All project activities and delivery
- Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects with fast-paced execution and meticulous attention to detail
- Commercial and financial acumen, including:
- Proficient use of project planning tools
- In-depth knowledge of:
- Contractual obligations
- SLAs
- Quality and HSE compliance
- Supply chain management
- Resource planning
- Highly organised, capable of meeting tight deadlines
- Robust problem-solving mindset with a clear strategy for overcoming challenges
- Ability to operate with minimal supervision while still being a key team player
- Exceptional communication skills for:
- Translating technical details into relatable content
- Confident interarcieion with customers and colleagues at all levels
- Desire to enhance technical knowledge and expertise, absorbing new information quickly
