About the Role

We are seeking a talented and proactive Junior Service Quality Engineer to join our Quality Team in Northampton.

Key Responsibilities:

Core Duties

  • Collaborate with the Quality Technical Services (TS) team to ensure processes and procedures for Global Services Operations comply with:
    • Regulatory requirements
    • Corporate Quality Manual
    • ISO 9001 & ISO 13485 standards
  • Actively participate in designing, implementing, and maintaining quality processes across:
    • Field service operations (UK, Ireland, and Nordics)
    • Service center operations
  • Oversee quality assurance compliance in:
    • Front/back office processes
    • Field operations
    • Service center activities
  • Foster a strong relationship with:
    • Global Services team
    • QATS EMEA team
    • Relevant stakeholders (e.g., CQA, SQA)

Quality Support & Operations

  • Quality support for Field Service operations (UK/Ireland/Nordics, Service Center UK)
  • Ensure compliance of processes related to:
    • Device Release
    • Labelling & Storage
    • Calibration
    • Decontamination
    • Equipment Validations
    • Repairs, PM (Preventative Maintenance), and Spare Parts Management
  • Track and drive improvements in Quality KPIs (using Baxter QA and TS systems)
  • Oversee Local Processes Ownership, including:
    • Documentation/procedures
    • Training programmes
    • Internal and external audits
    • CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) and non-conformity management
    • Supplier qualification
    • Validation protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ)
    • Change control and risk assessment processes
  • Compliance with post-marketing surveillance activities, including:
    • Product complaints
    • Medical device vigilance
    • Field action reporting

Project & Initiative Execution

  • Support (or lead) local/regional/global projects and initiatives

Essential & Desirable Requirements

Must-Have Experience

  • Prior experience in manufacturing, R&D, or quality operations (preferably within the medical device sector)
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and 13485 compliance requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree in Engineering (or a relevant science/quality discipline)
  • A learning-by-doing mindset and strong problem-solving attitude
  • Ability to demonstrate proactive ownership of QA processes
