About Greenleaf House
We are a fast-growing, trauma-informed residential childcare organisation, dedicated to delivering high-quality, therapeutic care to children and young people across Scotland. Since 2018, we’ve expanded to nine residential homes and through-care flats, with ambitious plans for further growth across the UK.

The Role
Reporting to: Slutsky Group (organisation-wide responsibility)
Job Purpose
The Service Quality Improvement Lead will drive improvements in the quality, safety, and compliance of our residential care services across Scotland and England. This role involves:
- Assessing current care practices to identify gaps.
- Implementing strategies to enhance standards in line with Scottish and English regulations.
- Collaborating with care teams, social workers, and regulators to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
- Monitoring performance metrics, conducting audits, and providing staff training to reinforce compliance.
- Prioritising well-being, safety, and development in every aspect of our residential care.
Your work will directly contribute to positive outcomes for children and young people in our care.
Main Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance
- Stay informed on children’s residential care legislation, including Scottish Care Standards and English Ofsted/Reg44 requirements.
- Ensure all policies and procedures align with current regulatory standards.
- Work with legal counsel to interpret and apply relevant regulations.

Policy Development & Implementation
- Develop and refine policies and procedures to meet compliance and best-practice requirements.
- Oversee policy roll-out, ensuring staff adherence and clarity.
Monitoring & Auditing
- Lead a structured monitoring and auditing program to track compliance.
- Conduct regular audits (including Reg44 audits) to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with external agencies (e.g., inspectorates) for third-party evaluations.
Staff Training & Development
- Design and deliver compliance-related training for staff.
- Ensure all team members understand their legal and ethical responsibilities.
Incident Management
- Establish a robust incident reporting process.
- Investigate non-compliance incidents and develop corrective action plans.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain detailed records of compliance activities.
- Provide timely, accurate reports to regulatory bodies.
Communication
- Act as the primary point of contact for Care Inspectorate/Ofsted inquiries.
- Communicate compliance expectations across all organisational levels.
Continuous Improvement
- Proactively identify opportunities for process refinement.
- Work with departments to embed compliance culture and drive ongoing excellence.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Extensive experience in managing and auditing residential children’s homes.
- A deep understanding of:
- Care Inspectorate (Scotland) regulations.
- Ofsted and Reg44 standards (England).
- Relevant care management and leadership qualifications.
- Exceptional compliance, analytical, and communication skills.
