Service Sales Manager

Location: Perth (on-site, with flexibility considered)

Salary: circa £55,000 to £65,000 depending on experience

Bonus: Performance-related scheme

Reports to: Senior Commercial Manager

About the Company

Our client is a specialist onshore wind services business operating across the whole of the UK, with service centres in Scotland, England, and Northern Ireland. They provide landowners, businesses, and developers with highly professional and responsive support across the entire turbine lifecycle, including:

  • Remote monitoring
  • Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
  • Wider turbine support services

A proven, trusted, and innovative provider, they have a strong focus on maximising availability and return on investment for clients. The company is currently going through an exciting period of growth and is looking to expand their commercial team.

The Role

This is a commercially focused role, sitting at the heart of the business. You will:

  • Work closely with the Senior Commercial Manager
  • Take ownership of customer relationships
  • Contribute to new business development
  • Manage a dynamic portfolio of accounts, moving between account management, contract support, and customer-facing engagement

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and nurture existing client accounts by:
    • Maintaining regular, proactive contact to ensure satisfaction
    • Identifying further opportunities for service expansion
  • Act as the key point of contact for customers requiring service support:
    • Handling inquiries, complaints, and resolutions
    • Coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely issue resolution
  • Support business development by:
    • Identifying and approaching prospective clients
    • Exploring partnerships with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and energy utilities
  • Communicate the company’s service offering confidently, including:
    • Repowering and maintenance solutions
    • Turbine lifecycle optimisation strategies
  • Represent the business at:
    • Trade shows
    • Industry events
    • Client meetings and negotiations
  • Prepare and submit accurate, timely:
    • Commercial reports
    • Client updates for the Senior Commercial Manager
  • Collaborate with operations and technical teams to ensure:
    • Service delivery aligns with client expectations
    • Magnified availability and ROI for each asset

What We Are Looking For

Essential

✅ Experience in the wind energy sector

  • Preference for turnkey service or O&M (Operation & Maintenance) environments ✅ Proven expertise in:
  • Account management
  • Sales support
  • Or another commercial role ✅ Strong communication skills with the ability to manage:
  • Both new and long-standing customer relationships ✅ Self-motivated "can-do" attitude ✅ Comfortable in a small, fast-paced, collaborative team ✅ Based within commutable distance of Perth

Desirable (Bonus Experience)

🔹 Experience working with OEMs or wind energy utilities 🔹 Familiarity with wind turbine service contracts and commercial structures 🔹 Previous exposure to discussions around repowering or asset management
