Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Business Support Manager in the EMEA region is integral to the operational excellence and strategic success of our leadership, especially within the service department. This role is dedicated to enhancing the productivity of the Vice President and the Service Leadership team through meticulous coordination, communication, and continuous improvement efforts. The Business Support Manager will ensure that all facets of the Leadership team's operations are streamlined and effective, from leading key projects and initiatives to coordinating meetings. This position offers the opportunity to significantly impact our service department's growth and efficiency by fostering better communication, operational practices, and people development.
Responsibilities
Coordination & Communication:
- Proactively manage time, ensuring optimal organization of leadership meetings, board sessions, quarterly reviews, and strategic events.
- Elevate the quality of materials and information presented to the Executive Leadership Team, ensuring clarity and relevance.
- Offer the Service Leadership Team strategic analyses, insights, and recommendations to enhance management standards and the operating model, driving overall effectiveness.
- Establish and promote management standards within the leadership team and their respective departments, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Cultivate trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, enhancing All Staff engagement and leadership collaboration.
- Champion team integration, facilitating cross-functional communication and cooperation to achieve collective goals.
- Organize meeting agendas, document minutes, and disseminate necessary information to relevant parties.
- Craft and edit communications, board presentations, and a variety of documents for both internal and external audiences.
- Support decision-making processes with thorough data collection, research, and analytical insights.
- Lead select projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet predetermined standards for time, budget, and quality.
- Safeguard sensitive information, maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and discretion.

- Collaborate with Human Resources to enhance people practices throughout the EMEA region, identifying and addressing gaps in knowledge and skills through a strategic talent management approach.
- Support leadership and high-potential managers in developing a coaching mindset, offering personalized guidance, and facilitating developmental workshops.

Continuous Improvement
- Assist EMEA functions in maintaining fixed costs through strategic support hub strategies.
- Demonstrate and promote a mindset of process improvement, identifying inefficiencies and implementing effective solutions to enhance productivity.
- Contribute to the development of a unified Continuous Improvement strategy, leveraging Vertiv's capabilities and synergies with other supportive teams.
Requirements
- Proven track record in project management and executive support, with a strong ability to manage complex schedules and coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Experience in the service industry, particularly within digital infrastructure, is highly desirable.
- Understanding of the EMEA market, including cultural nuances and business practices.
- Education in Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields is preferred.
- Fluent in English and some competence in another European language.
