Oncology Team Leader
We are recruiting for an Oncology Team Leader who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who will provide timely, efficient, and effective operational management support to the Service, ensuring that the Oncology administration services and operations are responsive, innovative and provided to the highest possible standard.
Working under the direction of the Assistant Service Manager for Cancer Performance, the individual will take managerial responsibility for the operation and delivery of all patients related administrative, clerical, and secretarial functions, overseeing Mount Vernon Cancer Centre Secretarial team - consisting of: Medical Secretaries & Support Secretaries.
Benefits
In addition, you will receive a High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of your basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £4,870 and a maximum payment of £6,137 per annum pro rata.

Responsibilities
- To provide effective leadership and performance management of administration staff within the Directorate, e.g., medical secretaries and contact centre staff.
- To support the Service Managers in the management of all aspects of cancer services and performance management. They will be directly responsible for the management and coordination of secretarial and clerical staff within a defined area.
- To work unsupervised and act independently to manage own workload, referring to the appropriate Service Manager when necessary.
- Responsible for the delivery of agreed targets and standards.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clinicians in the Trust.
