Service Team Leader

Checkout Team Leader – Join Our Foodmaking & Shopkeeping Team

We're looking for natural leaders, friendly customer assistants, or passionate individuals ready for career growth to join our Checkout Team as Team Leaders.

About the Role

Do you enjoy helping customers, building relationships, and driving excellent service? If so, this role is perfect for you. As a Checkout Team Leader, you’ll inspire your team, foster engagement, and ensure our customers have a top-notch shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a visible presence across all front-end service operations, utilising headsets to assist colleagues and customers efficiently at checkout counters
  • Build and lead an outstanding team that delivers courteous, friendly, and supportive service to every customer
  • Foster an engaging workplace culture where team members are encouraged to prioritise customer needs and contribute ideas for continuous improvement
  • Cultivate a supportive and results-driven environment where achievements are recognised and rewarded
  • Utilise data dashboards and reports to identify issues, plan improvements, and implement actionable solutions
  • Optimise front-end operations while maintaining compliance with company policies, cash handling procedures, and legal obligations
    • Coordinate and facilitate communication across teams, including cash, petrol stations (where applicable), kiosks, customer service desks, trolleys, and car parks
    • Support team members with any queries
    • Minimise waste by ensuring timely execution of putbacks and repairs

About You

We’re looking for motivated individuals with: ✅ Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills ✅ Experience in leading, developing, and coaching teams to achieve high performance ✅ Operational/technical expertise in retail or customer service ✅ Commitment to leadership, with the ability to organise workloads, manage deadlines, and influence team efforts ✅ Experience translating data and insights into actionable improvements
