Service Team Leader
Checkout Team Leader – Lead Our Service Teams
Are you a natural leader, a great customer assistant, or someone who enjoys a helping and friendly demeanour? Do you thrive when meeting new people and going the extra mile for customers? If so, we’re looking for Team Leaders to drive service performance for our customers.
About the Role
As a Checkout Team Leader, you’ll be the driving force behind our Checkout team. Your role involves:
- Being a visible presence across all front-end service operations
- Utilising headsets to support colleagues quickly and help customers complete purchases efficiently at checkouts
- Creating a team that delivers outstanding, friendly, and helpful service
- Building an engaging, customer-focused department culture where colleagues are trusted to contribute ideas for improvement
- Fostering a supportive, performance-driven culture that recognises and rewards achievement
- Confidently using dashboards, reports, and analytical tools to:
- Make data-driven decisions
- Identify issues
- Develop and implement corrective actions
- Ensuring all policies, procedures, and legal obligations (including cash handling) are followed
- Coordinating and communicating within front-end departments:
- Cash, petrol station (where applicable)
- Kiosk, customer service desk, trolleys, and car parks
- Supporting colleagues with any queries
- Minimising waste by delegating put-backs promptly and efficiently

About You
We’re looking for young professionals (aged over school-leaving age) who have:
- The ability to build and maintain strong relationships
- Experience in developing and leading teams—coaching for competence and confidence
- A strong operational and technical knowledge of service operations
- The capacity to plan, organise, and manage workloads (your own and those of direct reports)
- The ability to work to strict deadlines
