Service Team Leader
Checkout Team Leader

We're looking for Team Leaders to lead our Service teams and drive service performance forward for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
As a Checkout Team Leader, you’ll be the driving force behind our Checkout team. Your role includes:
- Being a visible presence across all front-end service operations, using headsets to support colleagues and help customers complete purchases quickly and efficiently at checkouts
- Creating a team that delivers outstanding, friendly, and helpful service to all customers
- Building an engaging department environment where colleagues can contribute ideas for improvement, placing customers at the heart of everything
- Foster a supportive and performance-driven culture, recognizing and rewarding achievements
- Using dashboards and reports to make decisions that:
- Optimise the front-end experience
- Identify and root cause issues
- Develop and implement corrective action plans
- Ensuring all policies, procedures, and legal obligations (including cash handling) are followed
- Coordinating daily communication within front-end departments (cash, petrol stations, kiosks, customer service, trolleys, and car parks) and supporting colleagues with queries
- Minimising waste by effective delegation of tasks, including put backs

We’re looking for someone like you—someone with:
- Strong abilities to build and maintain effective relationships
- Team leadership experience, including coaching to drive high performance and confidence in colleagues
- Strong operational and technical knowledge of retail/service front-end operations
- The ability to effectively plan, organize, and manage workloads, including those of direct reports
- The capacity to work to strict deadlines
