Role Description

This full-time, on-site Service Technician role is based in Brightlingsea and focuses on maintaining and servicing energy infrastructure equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and component replacements
  • Participate in installation and commissioning activities
  • Document all work completed and follow safety and compliance procedures
  • Respond to service calls and assist with preventative maintenance schedules
  • Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure equipment reliability
  • Provide clear communication to internal stakeholders regarding equipment status and service needs

Qualifications & Experience

Technical & Job-Specific Skills:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in industrial or energy-related equipment and tools
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and service documentation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, including diagnosing faults and identifying repair methods
  • Comfortable working in on-site, demanding environments with a focus on safety and compliance
  • Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in:
    • Mechanical systems
    • Electrical systems
    • Industrial maintenance
  • Experience in the energy sector is an advantage
