Job Title: Service Technician

Location: Atherstone and off site

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Working Hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 3:30pm
  • Friday: 7:00am - 12:00pm

About The Role

Our client, based in Atherstone, is looking for a Service Technician to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically minded individual with service and maintenance experience to work on heat exchange equipment across a variety of customer sites.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out inspections, repairs, assembly and planned maintenance, while delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. This role involves regular travel and occasional overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out inspections, servicing, repairs and maintenance on heat exchange and plate heat exchanger (PHE) equipment.
  • Attend customer sites to repair, modify and maintain equipment.
  • Assemble and test equipment as required.
  • Complete accurate service reports and maintenance documentation.
  • Liaise with customers and contractors to coordinate site requirements.
  • Diagnose faults and provide recommendations to resolve customer issues.
  • Work in accordance with company Health & Safety procedures and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Support colleagues and other areas of the business when required.

Essential Skills

  • Previous mechanical engineering or service technician experience.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Essential Experience

  • F-Gas Certification.
  • CSCS Card.
  • Controls experience.
  • Experience working with heat exchangers or plate heat exchanger (PHE) equipment.
  • Refrigeration knowledge.

A suitable candidate needs to have the willingness to travel and stay away overnight when required.
