Position Overview
The Service Technician is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical support.
This role plays a crucial role in delivering the highest standards of service in the most efficient manner to maintain customer plant and equipment as installed on-site, covering our maintenance and service contracts. The goal is to:
- Maximise service technician productivity
- Enhance the overall customer experience
- Improve operational technical processes

We are actively seeking candidates from the North West of England, UK.
Key Responsibilities
Customer and Technical:
- Diagnose system problems when servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and customer site visits.
- Attend customer sites to complete:
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Customer Breakdowns
- Warranty work
- Hire and Commissioning workloads
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted point of contact.
- Collaborate with the Service desk, Sales, and Operations Team to:
- Establish strong communication channels.
- Share key customer insights.
- Utilise cutting-edge software and technology, alongside hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units.
- Generate regular reports on completed, invoiced work orders.
- Foster strong customer relationships through exceptional service.
- Communicate updates with:
- Supervisors
- Regional Service Managers
- Senior Technicians
- Customers
- Drive continuous improvement through constructive feedback.
Internal Controls and Administration:
- Proven experience in a service or field-based technician role.
- Strong knowledge of customer service principles.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, motivating technicians to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
- Effective communication skills.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using:
- Apps
- Diagnostic software
- Microsoft Office Suite

Skills and Capabilities
- Knowledge of the manufacturing industry (an advantage).
- Strong people and communication skills with a positive mindset.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Appropriate skilled-based certificates including F-Gas.
- Ability to cover standby and call-outs on a planned, scheduled basis, including:
- Weekdays
- Weekends
- Bank holidays
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid UK driving licence (company vehicle allocation).
- Confirmed Right to Work status for the Country of application.
