Join a leading semiconductor company as a ServiceNow CMDB Developer / Automation Engineer!
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow CMDB Developer / Automation Engineer to support a major CMDB uplift programme within a complex enterprise environment. Working closely with the CMDB Product Owner, Architect and wider ServiceNow team, you will design, build and configure automation, governance controls, data quality solutions, reporting, and workflows that improve the accuracy, usability and effectiveness of the CMDB.
Contract Details
- Location: Cambridge (hybrid – twice per week on-site)
- Rate: £700 per day (inside IR35)
- Contract Length: 6 months
- Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities
- Build and configure ServiceNow CMDB controls covering ownership, lifecycle management, assignment groups and data quality requirements.
- Develop automated remediation workflows for stale records, ownership gaps, incomplete data and CI relationship issues.
- Configure CMDB certification campaigns, escalation routes, reminders and governance workflows.
- Create CMDB dashboards, KPI scorecards and reporting covering data quality, certification status and remediation progress.
- Simplify CMDB forms, views and user experiences for service owners, support teams and governance stakeholders.
- Support CMDB integrations, Import Sets, Transform Maps, Service Graph Connectors and REST API configurations.
- Perform testing, deployment, documentation and knowledge transfer activities to support successful release and adoption.

Key Requirements

- Strong experience developing and configuring solutions within the ServiceNow platform.
- Hands-on expertise with Flow Designer, Business Rules, UI Policies, Client Scripts and scheduled jobs.
- Deep understanding of ServiceNow CMDB, CI classes, relationships, data quality controls and CMDB Health.
- Experience building workflow automation, approvals, notifications, escalations and remediation processes.
- Knowledge of Import Sets, Transform Maps, data loading patterns and integration technologies.
- Experience working within large enterprise ServiceNow environments and supporting production releases.
Desirable
- ServiceNow ITOM, Discovery, Service Mapping, Integration Hub, Performance Analytics, Service Graph Connector experience, and relevant ServiceNow certifications.
