Eversheds Sutherland is seeking a ServiceNow Developer
Eversheds Sutherland is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to support the ongoing rollout, development and continuous improvement of the firm’s ServiceNow platform. This is an opportunity to help shape a growing enterprise platform that supports both business-as-usual service delivery and strategic project initiatives across the firm.
Overview
The successful candidate will work closely with the ServiceNow Product Owner, technical teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable and upgrade-safe platform solutions.
The role will involve configuring and enhancing ServiceNow capabilities, developing applications and workflows, supporting integrations with external systems, and driving improvements across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CMDB and other modules as business needs evolve.

Key Responsibilities
- Configure, enhance and support ServiceNow modules including ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CMDB and other capabilities as required.
- Develop and maintain platform automations including UI Policies, UI Actions, Business Rules, Client Scripts and Script Includes.
- Design and deliver custom applications, workflows and platform enhancements that meet agreed business requirements.
- Implement and maintain integrations using REST, SOAP, MID Servers, IntegrationHub and third-party APIs.
- Support platform performance, data integrity and compliance with agreed governance standards.
- Maintain roles, groups, access controls and platform security in line with policy.
- Manage update sets and support release, cloning and upgrade activities.
- Ensure solutions are maintainable, scalable, secure and aligned with ServiceNow best practice.
- Complete unit and regression testing, and support user acceptance testing.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
- Strong proficiency with JavaScript, Glide API, HTML, CSS, and JSON.
- Experience with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and Scripted REST APIs.
- Experience managing update sets and performing instance migrations.
- Ability to convert business requirements into technical solutions.
- Understanding of ITIL and ITSM principles.
Desirable:
- ServiceNow Certified Administrator (CSA)
- ServiceNow Certified Developer (CAD)
- Module-specific certifications in ITSM, ITOM and HRSD.
- Experience with ITOM Discovery, CMDB modelling, or Service Mapping.
- Experience working within a legal firm.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Knowledge of web technologies and integration patterns.
