Job Title: ServiceNow Developer
Day Rate: £225/day (OUTSIDE IR35)
Location: Hybrid (2 days in London)
Contract Length: 6 months (extendable)
ServiceNow Developer - Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and ongoing enhancement of the ServiceNow platform, ensuring scalable, high-quality solutions that align with business and technical requirements.
- Configure and implement core ITSM capabilities including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge Management, and Service Catalog, following ITIL best practices.
- Develop and maintain custom ServiceNow functionality using JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, Flow Designer, and other platform capabilities.
- Design, build, and support integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise applications using REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub, Scripted REST APIs, and MID Server.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle, including architecture reviews, code quality assurance, mentoring developers, troubleshooting complex issues, and driving platform best practices.

ServiceNow Developer - Required Experience
- 8+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience across Administrator, Developer, and Technical Lead positions, delivering enterprise-scale platform solutions.
- Strong expertise in ServiceNow ITSM with proven experience implementing and configuring Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, and Service Catalog modules in line with ITIL best practices.
- Excellent ServiceNow development skills, including JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, and Flow Designer.
- Proven integration experience using REST and SOAP web services, Scripted REST APIs, Integration Hub, and MID Server to connect ServiceNow with enterprise platforms such as Workday, Jira, Salesforce, and Active Directory.
- Strong technical leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions while mentoring junior team members and promoting development best practices.
