Job Description
JOB TITLE: ServiceNow HR Software Engineer
SALARY: £47,790 - 58,410 per annum
LOCATION(S): Halifax or Leeds
HOURS: Full-time - 35 hours per week
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

We’re looking for a ServiceNow HRSD Engineer to help shape the future of HR services. In this role, you’ll design and deliver innovative solutions that simplify processes, enhance employee experiences, and integrate seamlessly with enterprise systems. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Day to day, you will:
- Design and develop custom solutions within the ServiceNow platform to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and maintain accurate Jira stories and Confluence documentation.
- Raise change requests and manage implementation artefacts.
- Build integrations with systems such as Workday and Microsoft Azure-hosted applications.
- Support BAU queries, analyse production incidents, and maintain technical documentation.
- Participate in system testing, UAT, and deployment to ensure quality and reliability.
- Assist with platform upgrades, including skipped records and regression testing.
- Stay current with ServiceNow platform enhancements and contribute to continuous improvement.

- Proven experience as a ServiceNow Engineer, with at least 2 years of hands-on Workday integration and development.
- Strong proficiency in ServiceNow technologies: JavaScript, Business Rules, Flow Designer, UI Policies, Document Transformation.
- Understanding of Generative AI and automation.
- Experience with integration protocols: SOAP, REST, XML, XSLT.
- Awareness of ServiceNow security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- ServiceNow certifications and agile methodology experience are a plus.
And any experience of these would be really useful:
- Experience with Workday, SAP, GCP, plus familiarity with GitHub, containerisation, Kubernetes, and automation.
