Who We Are Hiring

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Technical Architect is expected to:

  • Design and innovate high-value solutions using ServiceNow technology to meet evolving client challenges.
  • Translate complex IT and business requirements into scalable architectural designs, considering governance, security, compliance, performance, interoperability, and compliance (SRG, NIST, ISO principles).
  • Assess and recommend technical paths, presenting pros, cons, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic direction and be a trusted advisor to:
    • Account teams (internal consultants to clients)
    • Sponsors/stakeholders (CIOs, executives, programme owners)
  • Champion quality, repeatable engagements, helping to scale the business by onboarding clients and managing sales transactions.
  • Practice continuous learning: Pursue new certifications (e.g., the Certified Master Architect title).
  • Mentor and coach lead architects, developers and teams, driving best practice architecture and learning through code and architectural reviews.
  • Manage facing clients: Understand and respond to client goals and organisation culture, ensuring alignment with Accenture’s Code of Conduct.
  • Align with executive strategy, capture and delivery teams—ensuring technical direction meets broader business objectives.

What You’ll Bring

  • A mesmerising combination of architectural insight and technical expertise, with 5+ years’ demonstrable experience leading teams of ServiceNow Developers.
  • Proven experience in aligning technical solutions with client needs:
    • Consulting leadership: At least one large IT project complex/safety-critical environment.
    • Consulting processes: Demonstrated ability to deal with complex tasks, multiple stakeholders, and budget.
  • Display account ownership: Not simply a hands-on dev but someone who supports clients through design, complex technical decisions, and architectural guidance.
  • Presence and communications skills: Ability to articulate complex ideas clearly, diplomatically, and convincingly.
  • Thought leadership: Feed understanding from internal Accenture Gearshift or external sources to drive technical and learning strategy.
  • Mental attributes: Looking for resilience, problem-solving, and influence—qualities that drive relationships among diverse teams.

Technical Expertise

  • Core ServiceNow disciplines:
    • Development (code governance, technical architecture, comprehensive understanding of configuration)
    • Scripting (JavaScript, REST APIs, advanced knowledge of Flow Designer and Scripting structures).
    • DevOps practices (Git-purposeful CI/CD, CI/CD tools, release management).
  • Data architecture / integration:
    • Deep expertise across ServiceNow platform modules (e.g., CMDB, Knowledge Management systems).
    • Experience with enterprise cloud infrastructure and data lakes and warehouses (integration with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Additional knowledge of product families (beyond fiscal ITSM):
    • Examples: ITOM, ITAM, Hams/SAM, Self-Service Portal Manager, HRIS, Cloud Service Management.

Desirable Certifications

  • ServiceNow certifications:
    • Certified Technical Architect (CTA)
    • Certified Master Architect (CMA)
    • Achieved minimum of 5 additional certifications (+ currently 9/certified)
  • Related qualifications: ITILv4 or equivalent IT governance expertise (ISACA PMA-CIA, TOGAF, JBoss).

Security considerations

  • Willingness to obtain or collaborate towards obtaining ServiceNow access or secure clearance (SC).

Nice to Have (if applicable)

  • AI capabilities: Experience integrating GenAI features,/Prompt-driven solutions, similar to workflows or automation in ServiceNow.
  • Cloud migration: Hands-on experience with multi-cloud architectures, governance, optimisation, and migration strategies.
  • ServiceNow Partner training delivery: Ability to coach other partners and teams on adoption and solution teaching.
