Services Assistant
Services Assistant – Job Description
Our stores are fast-paced environments where no two days are ever the same. They are at the heart of the local community, providing outstanding value, quality, and service. As a Services Assistant, you’ll be the special ingredient that ensures customers enjoy the very best shopping experience.
Eligibility
You must:
- Be above the school-leaver age in your country (check GOV.UK).
- If shifts involve hours before 6am or after 11pm, you need to be at least 18 years old.
- Have Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
Every day is unique, but core tasks include:
- Customer service: Assisting customers on checkouts, self-service tills, kiosks, or petrol stations—proactively solving queries and providing help.
- Fulfilment roles:
- Picking high-quality products on the shop floor for On-demand grocery ordering.
- Assisting with Click & Collect parcels.
- Product knowledge: Building expertise in our products, services, and promotions to offer tailored recommendations.
- Operational duties:
- Handling complaints, refunds, shelf updates, and advertising tasks.
- Ensuring trolley safety in customer car parks.
- Flexible support: Adapting to changing needs across the store, helping teams as required.
