Services Manager
# Fife Area Services Manager Location: Blue Central, Pitreavie Business Park, Dunfermline (with expectation of regular visits to all Day Services in Fife)
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Services Manager to join our Fife services team. You will play a critical role in liaising with multi-disciplinary teams, developing/caring for intervention plans, risk assessments, and support strategies, and fostering community relationships to promote our services and organisation effectively.
As the Services Manager, you will act as the Registered Manager for the Services with the Care Inspectorate, ensuring all approved services remain autism-specific and delivered to the highest standard. You will also:
- Manage budgets and financial targets for service provision
- Oversee the planning, updating, and reviewing of these budgets
Key expectations include manageable teams, collaboration with external professionals, maintaining service excellence, and upholding the distinct focus of autism support.

Service Management & Compliance
- Operate as the Registered Manager for Fife Day Services, fulfilling Care Inspectorate requirements and maintaining a commitment to service autism specificity.
- Develop and audit comprehensive care plans/plans of action, ensuring they meet statutory requirements and local, national evaluations.
Financial & Budgetary Oversight
- Adeptly plan, update, and manage financial budgets, partnering with corporate leadership to ensure cost-effective, high-quality service delivery.
- Sustainable reporting and communication through financial forecasting, setting priorities, and securing progression.
Community & Public Engagement
- Represent Scottish Autism with confidence and professionalism, engaging with local communities, referring partners and service providers.
- Support the promotion of autism awareness and inclusivity in public forums, media, and student/community clubs.
Requirements & Skills
Essential
- Proven leadership experience with proven track record of delivering within health/social care, inclusive-improvement models—preferably relating to special support needs, autism, and behavioral challenges.
- Must hold a relevant qualification in Health/Social Care (e.g. SVQ Level 4 or equivalent) along with passage of SSSC Leadership in Management & Care equivalent training.
- Apprenticeship and public sector sector experience is preferred, with exposure likely.
- Possession of a full UK Driving Licence (due to geographical remoteness).
- Maintain day-to-day professional registration as per Scottish Social Services Council requirements.

Desirable
- Experience working within or building collaborative chains with clinical, educational, or key commissioning partners.
- Trips to the wider Scottish Educational Health Councils (HSC) collaborating with National Autism Services.
- In-depth knowledge of Care Inspectorate standards and regulatory compliance in Health/Social Care aged 4–25 years old.
