Services Manager- Westbury
Service Manager – Facilities Management (UK Defence Estate)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Service Manager to join a high-performing facilities management team responsible for delivering maintenance services across a complex operational estate.
About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a technically minded facilities professional to take ownership of service delivery across:
- Reactive maintenance
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Remedial activities
- Billable Works
You’ll ensure these services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with contractual and customer expectations.
Reporting to the Built Estate Manager, you will drive operational performance, manage stakeholder relationships, and coordinate internal teams, supply chain partners, and specialist contractors. Overseeing day-to-day maintenance activities, you’ll monitor performance against key service levels and proactively manage risks to maintain high standards of delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Direct collaboration with customers and stakeholders, offering technical support, resolving service-related issues, and identifying opportunities for service enhancement and customer satisfaction.
- Supporting the planning and delivery of additional works and minor projects by coordinating resources, materials, and contractors.
- Ensuring compliance and assurance standards are met—including statutory, contractual, and health and safety requirements, while maintaining robust CAFM system records and documentation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
