Our specialisms include farming, rural business and thatch/period listed houses. We’ve been providing insurance to the rural community for over 40 years. We pride ourselves on building long-term relationships with both our clients and our colleagues.
Role Description
We are looking for continued growth and are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Account Handler willing to take the next step towards being a Commercial Executive. The Servicing Account Handler role will involve handling a book of business spread across Leicestershire, Northants and Rutland as well as allow for own new business acquisition and retention. This role is a vital part in providing exceptional customer service to existing clients and will enable the successful candidate to gain knowledge and experience in growing their own book of business too.
Responsibilities
- Present new business/renewal reports and presentations to own clients where required at client premises
- Support the renewal preparation and handling on an existing book of business
- Providing an excellent customer journey to designated clients with emphasis on controlled renewal timetables and procedures
- Pro-actively assist in meeting high retention levels
- Look to constantly improve technical knowledge and use this to design cross sell opportunities and uninsured areas to clients
- Control your own client & prospect diary systems, ensuring all items are followed up by the due dates
- Ensure prompt premium collection before inception dates and assist Executives where required with o/s items on Aged Debtors lists, taking responsibility for collection on own clients
- Provide a key/positive contribution to lead generation through company sales & marketing objectives including participation in regular prospecting initiatives, follow up calls on direct email/mail campaigns
- Proactively research & implement a personal development plan to ensure maintenance and improvement of appropriate skills & knowledge

Requirements
- GCSE Grade C/4 and above, English & Maths
- To already hold Cert CII accreditation or complete it within 2 years of joining County (through a fully funded apprenticeship scheme or self study)
- At least 3 years insurance account handling experience, ideally in commercial lines
- Seen by the client as someone who will pull out all the stops but will be honest in managing expectations
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and prioritise in a fast-paced working environment
- Applicants should be highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly
- A full UK driving licence and car, with availability to travel to Oxford during a training period and then at least once monthly thereafter for team meetings.
