We are looking for a qualified or unqualified Childcare Practitioner to join our team in Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire.

In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to families with children who have additional support needs (ASN). You will work directly with children with ASN providing engaging activities that meet their individual needs and planning activities within group.

The hours of work will be after school, weekends, and during the school holidays. These can be unsociable hours but are ideal for someone looking for extra hours while at college, university, or as a second job.

This is a sessional role which means you can choose your working hours.

Salary: between £13.45 per hour and £13.79 per hour depending on qualifications and experience

Your Qualifications And Experience

We are looking for qualified and unqualified childcare practitioners to come and work in our after-school clubs, Saturdays, and holiday playschemes. Ideal candidates will have some experience in working with children with ASN.

The Role

The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high-quality childcare for children and young people with additional support needs; they will be expected to support the Service Manager and the existing team. This role would be ideal for someone looking to start or further progress a career in childcare and will provide a pathway to childcare qualifications.

The Setting

Our Fraserburgh group is based in Westfield School and is for both primary and secondary aged children specifically with ASN, we are part of the charity Flexible Childcare Services Scotland (FCSS). FCSS is a national charity that is unique in that parents are able to book childcare by the hour, pay as they go, and change their bookings each week. This flexible childcare model helps save families money on their childcare while supporting them back into education and employment, helping to distance the whole family from poverty.

The group runs after school on Tuesdays & Wednesdays term time, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays during school holidays, and Saturdays year-round.
