Sessional Counselling Lecturer

College location: East Surrey College (Redhill)
Hourly Rate: £41.80/hour (£34.83/hour + £6.97/hour as payment for annual leave)
Hours:

  • Thursday & Friday 8:45 am - 5 pm
  • Tuesday & Thursday 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm

We are currently seeking to appoint two inspirational and enthusiastic Counselling Lecturer to join our Professional and Service Industries department. One of whom will be teaching at L4 and the other will teach Level 2 and 3.

In this exciting role you will be delivering teaching and learning across our Counselling provision across Level 2-4. This is a specialised role and we would require someone who is ideally trained in SEG or CPCAB and has significant private practice experience.

Working closely with the Lead Counselling Tutor, Programme Manager, the Director of Learning, and the rest of the team, you will have the chance to share your knowledge and skills with learners to help them achieve at the highest level as well as driving continuous improvement within the College. You will also act as a course leader, promote attendance, participate in team meetings and contribute to the planning, development and review activities within your subject area. You may be required to contribute to open evenings, parent’s evenings and similar events as and when required.

The Successful Candidate Must Have

  • A full teaching qualification or prepared to work towards (ideally at Level 5 or above but part qualified candidates will be considered)
  • Previous teaching experience within an FE setting if you have a teaching qualification or group facilitation experience
  • Counselling at level 4 or above
  • Relevant industry experience
