The Sessional Counsellor will provide time-limited, structured counselling sessions to clients in schools in Tamworth. This role includes delivering one-to-one counselling using evidence-informed approaches. Day-to-day tasks involve maintaining accurate and confidential case notes, managing a sessional caseload. The Sessional Counsellor will liaise with school staff where appropriate, and support safeguarding processes in line with organizational policies. The role also involves adhering to BACP professional codes of ethics.

Qualifications
- Recognized counselling qualification (e.g., Diploma or higher in Counselling or Psychotherapy) and evidence of training in established therapeutic modalities.
- Membership or eligibility for membership with the BACP and commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Demonstrated experience providing face-to-face counselling to young people.
- Strong skills in active listening, empathy, rapport-building, and maintaining professional boundaries within a therapeutic setting.
- Ability to maintain accurate clinical records, handle confidential information responsibly, and follow organisational policies and procedures.
- Familiarity with ethical frameworks, culturally sensitive practice, and working inclusively with people from varied backgrounds and identities.
- Flexibility to work sessional hours in schools in Tamworth and reliability in managing appointments and client expectations.
