CHEC are actively recruiting Sessional Endoscopists to join our team in Worthing.
CHEC has been providing rapid access for NHS patients and commissioners to high quality eye care and day-surgery in a community setting for over 12 years.
Leading the way in direct access services CHEC will be working closely with primary care clinicians and commissioners to support the investigation and treatment of NHS patients and reduce waiting times at local NHS hospitals.
Please note we use Fuji 700 series or Pentax i10 and i20 equipment in our hospitals.

As an Endoscopist in CHEC, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality endoscopy services across our sites. You will contribute to diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy and actively support service development in a rapidly growing service.
Our Endoscopists work independently and autonomously as a JAG accredited expert Advanced Practitioner.
Upper GI:
- OGD including biopsy and Barrett’s surveillance
Lower GI:
- Colonoscopy including biopsy +/- tattooing, polyp removal (< 1 cm), surveillance
Flexible sigmoidoscopy:
- As for colonoscopy as indicated.

What skills and experience will you need to apply?
- Considerable experience of both upper and lower GI endoscopy
- Demonstrate understanding of JAG standards and requirements in an Endoscopy Service
- Valid GMC, NMC or HCPC registration
