We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, professional Occupational Health services and are looking for an experienced Occupational Health Physician who shares our commitment to clinical excellence and exceptional patient care.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Sessional Occupational Health Physician to join our team on a flexible, ad hoc basis.
This role is primarily based at our clinic in Gorleston-on-Sea, with occasional travel to client sites when required. You will be responsible for delivering a range of Occupational Health Physician consultations, statutory and industry-specific medicals, and providing expert Occupational Health advice to employers and employees.
Working independently as part of our multidisciplinary team, you will maintain the highest clinical standards while delivering an efficient, professional and patient-focused service.

Key Responsibilities
You will be required to carry out:
- Conducting both telephone and face-to-face Occupational Health consultations.
- Management referral consultations.
- Fitness-for-work assessments.
- Pre-placement health assessments.
- Ill-health retirement assessments and advice.
- HAVS Tier 4 assessments.
- Providing advice on workplace adjustments and return-to-work planning.
- Producing clear, concise and evidence-based Occupational Health reports.
- Undertaking OEUK Offshore Medicals.
- Undertaking Driver Medicals, Safety-Critical Medicals and other Occupational Health medicals as required.
- Reviewing medical histories and undertaking clinical examinations.
- Maintaining accurate clinical records using company systems.
- Working in accordance with GMC guidance, Occupational Health best practice and relevant legislation.
- Occasionally travelling to client sites to deliver Occupational Health services.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- Medical degree (MBBS, MBChB or equivalent).
- Diploma in Occupational Medicine (Dip Occ Med), AFOM, MFOM or a higher recognised Occupational Medicine qualification.
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a current licence to practise.
- Eligibility to undertake OEUK Offshore Medicals.
- Experience conducting Occupational Health Physician consultations, including management referrals and fitness-for-work assessments.
- Experience producing high-quality Occupational Health reports.
- A Medical Practitioner who has maintained and developed their knowledge and skills in line with the GMC's revalidation requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong clinical judgement and decision-making ability.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied clinical workload.
- Good IT skills and confidence using electronic medical record systems.
- Full UK driving licence.

Desirable
- Approval to undertake ENG1 Seafarer Medicals.
- Experience working within offshore, maritime or other safety-critical industries.
- Experience conducting ill-health retirement assessments.
