Vacancies for sessional tutors (September start)
We are looking for qualified, enthusiastic, and flexible tutors and assessors to deliver part-time courses as listed below. They must be able to plan and deliver courses independently including creating resources. The post offers excellent progression opportunities and a chance to work with a brilliant and supportive team.
We are looking for tutors who can teach:
ESOL & English
- From pre-entry to Level 2
- Experience of teaching accredited & non-accredited courses
Digital Skills
- Entry 3 / Level 1 Essential Digital Skills and Functional Digital Skills
- Level 2 & 3 IT User Skills/ ITQ
- Experience of teaching non-accredited courses
Vocational Skills (Assessors & Tutors)
- Level 1 - 3 in Health and Social Care/Adult Care
- Levels 1 - 3 Business admin, team leading, customer service and leadership & management
- Employability skills and licence to practice courses
Learners With Learning Difficulties And Disabilities
- Experience of having taught adult learners with learning difficulties and disabilities is essential
- Must be able to plan and deliver independently including creating resources
- Must have a teaching qualification
- Qualification around learning difficulties and disabilities is strongly desirable
Duties
- Carry out initial and diagnostics assessments.
- Deliver group-based accredited and non-accredited courses
- Maintain attendance registers, records of progress and ensure learners are enrolled on the right levels
- Create teaching and learning materials and resources
- Implement adaptive teaching strategies
- Teach blended learning courses and online classes through Google Classroom
- Help learners improve their employability skills through continuous assessment, marking and examinations.
- Check and assess learners’ work and provide feedback
- Engage in analysis data and target setting to raise standards of retention and achievement.
- To work within the Learn Harrow Quality framework ensuring that services delivered meet the standards required of the contract.
- To maintain effective and efficient administrative procedures as required

Essential
- Must have a professional teaching qualification (either at Level 3 or 4)
- Must have relevant qualification from digital skills sector and/or other vocational sectors
- Experienced in a range of IT skills, including advanced in MS Office and E-Learning platforms especially Google Classroom
Experience:
- Experience of teaching accredited courses, assessing and marking portfolios and assessments, end of course exams and assignments
- Experience of undergoing an Ofsted observation as well as internal and other external observations.
- Experience of teaching individuals of all diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Experience of implementing Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values in line with the course content.
Skills:
- Adaptable and flexibility, this is an essential requirement for the role.
- Good interpersonal, communication, listening and presentation skills.
- Strong coaching and teaching ability.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Must have excellent time management skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of online learning platforms
- IT working knowledge of MS Office
- Knowledge of internal Quality Assurance processes
About You
Duties

- Differentiate levels and create individualised resources for learners.
- Teach blended learning courses and online classes through Google Classroom.
- Help learners improve their employability skills through continuous assessment, marking and examinations.
- Check and assess learners’ work and provide feedback.
- Engage in analysis data and target setting to raise standards of retention and achievement.
- To work within the Learn Harrow Quality framework ensuring that services delivered meet the standards required of the contract.
- To maintain effective and efficient administrative procedures as required.

Essential
