Civil Site Engineer – Power, Energy & Transmission

Permanent

Salary: £44,000 - £54,000 DOE + benefits package

Job Description

National Civil Engineering contractor who, due to a period of sustained growth, have a requirement for an additional Site Engineer to join their team.

Projects are primarily in the Renewable Energy sector and will expose the successful Site Engineer to a real variety of work. Due to the remote nature of some jobs, staying away from home should be expected, and accommodation will be provided.

Role & Responsibilities

  • To deliver setting out works on ongoing contracts, ensuring that they operate within cost, productivity, Quality and Health, Safety and Environment targets.
  • Ensure contracts are delivered safely on time, within budget and to programme.
  • Maintain a good relationship with clients to avoid disputes.
  • Have a high level of commercial awareness related to the works.
  • Assure that all work is carried out to company safety, environmental, and Quality standards and to regularly communicate with staff and operatives.
  • Carry out Safety Audits as required by line management.
  • Liaise with & manage sub-contractors to ensure their strict adherence of the company Health, Safety and Environment policy and Quality standards.
  • Ensure that all operations carried out within your area of responsibility are undertaken with full regard for safety of visitors, other members of staff and yourself.

  • Experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering projects.
  • HND/Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Appropriate knowledge of health and safety policies.
  • Understanding of modern setting out equipment.
  • Have good working knowledge of IT systems, proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Practice of prioritising time critical work.
  • Excellent communication and liaison skills.
