Experienced Sewing Machinist
Kirriemuir
14.30 per hour
Monday to Friday | Rotating Shifts (06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00)
Are you an experienced Sewing Machinist looking for a role where your skills are genuinely valued?
We're recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer in Kirriemuir for skilled Sewing Machinists to join their production team.
This is not a general production role. We're looking for candidates who have sewing experience and take real pride in producing quality work. If you enjoy working with precision, have a strong eye for detail, and are confident using sewing machinery, this could be an excellent opportunity to join a business that values craftsmanship, consistency, and teamwork.
Working within a specialist manufacturing environment, you'll be producing technical textile products that require accuracy, care, and attention to detail. In return, you'll benefit from a stable Monday-to-Friday working pattern, full training on products and processes, and the opportunity to secure longer-term employment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
