Sewing Machinist Location: Leek, Staffordshire
Breeze House Designs Ltd is a leading manufacturer of premium made-to-measure textile products. Due to continued growth, we're seeking an experienced Sewing Machinist to join our production team.
About the Role
As a Sewing Machinist, you'll play a crucial role in manufacturing our bespoke textile products using industrial sewing machines, ensuring all items meet our high quality and craftsmanship standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machines to produce made-to-measure textile products
- Read and interpret job sheets, production specifications and plans
- Measure, prepare, and sew fabrics accurately following instructions
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
- Report any quality issues, damaged materials or machine faults
- Carry out basic cleaning and maintenance of sewing equipment
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
- Work efficiently to meet production targets while upholding standards
- Comply with company procedures and health & safety requirements
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure customer orders are completed on time

Requirements
We're looking for a motivated individual with:
- Experience operating industrial sewing machines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to follow measurements and production instructions accurately
- Self-sufficient in work methods but able to work well within a team
- Reliable, punctual and organised
- Ability to meet production deadlines under deadline pressure
