Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Sewing Machinist to join our studio in Haggerston on a full-time, on-site basis starting in August.

The role involves assembling and finishing high-end garments using industrial sewing machines, working from patterns, technical specifications, and construction notes. You will collaborate closely with pattern cutters, sample makers, and the wider production team to ensure garments are completed accurately, consistently, and to a high professional standard.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Sewing Machinist
  • Strong experience using industrial sewing machines and other relevant machinery
  • Confident working with a range of fabrics and garment types
  • Skilled in multiple high-end garment finishing techniques
  • Excellent understanding of garment construction, fit, and professional finishing
  • Ability to read and follow patterns, technical drawings, and construction notes
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Experience in an atelier, tailoring, or sample room is essential
  • Experience with contemporary or high-end designer brands is essential
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
