Sewing Machinist – Premium Made-to-Measure Textile Manufacturer
Location: Leek, Staffordshire
Our client, a leading manufacturer of high-end made-to-measure textile products, is seeking an experienced Sewing Machinist to join their fast-growing production team.
About the Role
As a Sewing Machinist, you will manufacture bespoke textile products using industrial sewing machines, ensuring every item meets their high standards for quality and craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machines to produce made-to-measure textile items
- Read and interpret job sheets and production specifications
- Measure, prepare, and sew fabrics with precision and accuracy
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet strict quality standards
- Report any defects, damaged materials, or machine faults promptly
- Perform basic cleaning and maintenance of sewing equipment
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment
- Work efficiently to meet production targets without compromising quality
- Follow all company procedures and health & safety protocols
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure on-time completion of customer orders
