There is currently one post available across both of our sites. The successful candidate will be expected to provide cross-site cover between Stockport and Tameside as required to meet the needs of the service.
Responsibilities
Locala Sexual Health Service delivers specialist sexual health care across Stockport, Tameside, Wigan, Leigh, Dewsbury, Huddersfield, and Bradford. We are a welcoming, inclusive, and non-judgemental service providing STI testing and treatment, routine and emergency contraception, referrals for termination of pregnancy, and support for vulnerable patients across a range of settings.
We are committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care at every stage of the patient journey — from the first point of contact through to treatment and follow-up. Compassion, professionalism, flexibility, and an open-minded approach are central to the success of this role.
The successful candidate will join our multidisciplinary team within Locala Sexual Health Clinics, working alongside medical, nursing, and administrative colleagues to deliver holistic, evidence-based sexual health care.
This role involves direct patient contact and responsibility for assessing patient needs, planning, implementing, and evaluating personalised care programmes. Care delivery will take into account individual lifestyles, gender identity, sexual orientation, and cultural backgrounds to ensure an inclusive and supportive patient experience.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
