Shared Services Operations Lead (Finance) – Glasgow
Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Shared Services Operations Lead (Finance) based in Glasgow.
Reporting to the Shared Service Delivery Lead, this role is responsible for overseeing the effective operation of Aggreko’s Finance & Procurement shared services operations, coordinating the relationship between Aggreko finance teams and a third-party BPO provider, and ensuring delivery aligns with the Shared Services Operating Model, policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and governance framework.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight
- Monitor the day-to-day operational effectiveness of distributed regional transactional finance operations through regular engagement, reporting, and participation in local forums.
- Coordinate between local retained finance teams and the BPO provider, resolving issues to enhance end-to-end transactional finance performance.
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and governance frameworks.

Risk & Compliance Management
- Oversee BPO IT controls and training compliance to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks for Aggreko.
- Analyze BPO service performance data to detect potential issues and implement preventative measures.
- Maintain effective use of service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow) to log, track, and resolve issues.
Performance & Colloboration
- Work across regions to ensure aligned performance and operational consistency.
- Lead improvements to transactional finance processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Accountant with multiple years’ experience in multi-country Finance Shared Services Transactional Operations.
- Proven ability to manage third-party providers/shared service centers and analyse performance metrics.
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Experience with IT analysis tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and process performance tracking.
- Strong understanding of BPO contracts, SLAs, and escalation pathways.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Strong people management skills in a globally distributed team.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and influencing abilities.
- Ability to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement.
Temperament & Adaptability
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, changing global business environment.
- Capable of collaborating in culturally diverse teams with different time zones.
