We have an exciting opportunity to join the Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) team at MBDA UK. We are looking for an energetic, collaborative leader to drive positive cultural change and champion continuous improvement across our organisation.
Job Title: Health, Safety, Environmental Change & Improvement Manager
Salary: Circa £60,000 depending on experience
Location: Stevenage/Bolton/Bristol
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

Following an internal promotion, we are looking for a dynamic and positive change-maker to join our Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) team. If you are a natural relationship-builder with the ability to influence at every level – from the shop floor to senior leadership – we want to hear from you.
This role is for the person who sees potential for improvement everywhere but it is also about winning hearts and minds and turning safety compliance into a shared, positive culture.
You will partner directly with our people – bringing functions together to collaborate, celebrate progress and inspire everyone to work safer, smarter and greener every day.
What you will be doing:
- Champion Change & Buy-In: Lead and facilitate exciting safety & environmental improvement initiatives across MBDA UK, using your natural warmth and influence to gain genuine stakeholder and organisational buy-in.
- Inspire a World-Class Culture: Drive engaging change programs that support MBDA UK's journey toward an industry-leading health and safety culture across all levels and business areas.
- Empower with Smarter Tools: Continually refine and simplify the tools and daily processes we use, ensuring they are intuitive, efficient and truly support our people.
- Look Outward: Identify modern, innovative industry best practices to help us achieve our strategic safety and environmental goals.
- Unite and Collaborate: Partner closely with colleagues across all functions and sites to harness our collective knowledge, share great ideas and work toward shared goals.
This role will enable you to travel to our other sites and a chance to meet and work with a wide range of internal customers across all levels. You'll be able to work dynamically with the flexibility of where, when and how you work.

What we're looking for from you:
- A Natural Influencer: Outstanding communication skills and an infectious positive attitude, with a proven ability to engage, inspire and influence people at all levels of an organisation.
- Relationship Champion: A natural collaborator who loves building trust, breaking down barriers and bringing diverse teams together around a common vision.
- Change Catalyst: Proven experience leading and successfully achieving meaningful culture or process change within a complex environment.
- Organised & Agile: Able to seamlessly balance multiple continuous improvement projects, ideally backed by project management or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Qualified (or equivalent experience): A Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or a similar qualification) is highly desirable but equivalent experience would be considered.
