SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) Manager – Coventry
Talented people are the key to our success.
We are seeking an experienced SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) Manager to join our multidisciplinary team and play a key role in the development, implementation, and continual improvement of SHE strategy and standards across MSI.
About the Role
Working as part of the MSI Functional Team, you will provide specialist SHE guidance to Business Units, Magnor Pant, MSES and Shared Services teams, supporting them in achieving full compliance with MSI standards and expectations.
This hybrid role includes occasional site visits across various Business Unit locations to build strong relationships, provide assurance, and support the effective implementation and understanding of SHE requirements.
Role Responsibilities
- Work proactively with Business Units to establish, maintain, and monitor compliance with MSI SHE standards.
- Provide specialist SHE advice to the Functional Teams in relation to both new and existing MSI standards.
- Support Business Units in interpreting and applying MSI SHE standards effectively.
- Develop and maintain strong, positive working relationships with Business Unit senior management to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Deliver assurance support to Business Unit project teams.
- Analyse SHE statistical data and contribute to the development, delivery, review, and reporting of the SHE strategic plan.
- Promote SHE programmes, initiatives, and best practices across the division.
- Evaluate and review SHE policy and standards, identifying opportunities for improvement.

Skills & Experience
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, supporting MSI Functional Teams and Business Units.
- Excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills, with the capability to manage multiple projects without compromising standards or accuracy.
- Strong working knowledge of SHE legislative requirements (e.g., CDM regulations).
- The role requires a strong degree of knowledge across all three SHE disciplines – Safety, Health and Environment.
- Sound understanding of standard construction techniques and processes.
- Ability to work with senior leaders to support the development of project and operational targets.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and diplomacy skills with the ability to present robust business cases to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications & Professional Memberships
- Relevant Health, Safety and/or Environmental related qualifications (preferred).
- Association with a relevant professional body (e.g., IOSH, ISEP) (preferred).
