The Role
We’re expanding at our HS Marston Aerospace facility in Wolverhampton, and we’re seeking Skilled Fabricators/Sheet Metal Workers to join our production team.
This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Fitters to develop their skills in a highly regulated environment, with full training and support provided.
What You Will Do
This role focuses on mechanical assembly, sheet metal fabrication, and precision finishing of products made from aluminium and steel. Tasks include:
- Mechanical assembly and production build
- Welding and quality inspections
- Meeting project deadlines and production targets
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly guidelines
- Assemble and test products through all production stages
- Collaborate with production teams to meet Targets & Deadlines
- Support quality initiatives (e.g., 5S, TPM, Turnbacks, Clinics)
- Ensure Lot Traceability (LOT) and Quality Control Compliance
- Upskill through welding certification training programs
- Maintain clean, orderly, and high-standard work environments
- Fully comply with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) requirements

Shifts Available
Due to production demands, this role requires rotating shift flexibility:

Mornings: 6:00 AM – 1:45 PM (Monday–Thursday) / 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Friday)

Afternoons: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Monday–Thursday) / 12:15 PM – 5:15 PM (Friday)

Required Experience & Skills
Preferred qualifications & experience:
- NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds (or equivalent) in fabrication, mechanical, or engineering disciplines (OR relevant time-served experience will be considered)
- Proven hand-fabrication expertise, including sheet metal work
- Ability to work to high-tolerance standards
- Familiarity with precision tools such as verniers, digital calipers, or gauges
- Bonus: prior experience in aerospace, motorsport, or defense-related industries
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving approach
