About the Role

As part of the Social Transformation Team, our vision is to recruit and build teams of congregation members, to train and equip them, to walk alongside those on the margins of society in London, bridging them to the love of Jesus. We serve those in our four ministry "pillars": prisons, homeless, women and displaced.

Responsibilities

The Shelter Manager is responsible for the Shelter ministry, including oversight and operation of the HTB Shelter(s), within the HTB Social Transformation department. This currently includes the Wed AM, Wed PM, and Thu AM Shelter, including oversight of the external partnership with Glassdoor Homeless Charity to operate all HTB Night Shelter(s) across different HTB sites (currently QG and EC).

Some of the responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Oversee the delivery of HTB's Shelter ministry, including weekly shelters and associated support services
  • Lead and support volunteer teams, fostering a culture of prayer, encouragement, and excellence
  • Manage relationships with key partners, including homeless charities and local support organisations
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and food hygiene requirements
  • Oversee donations, resources, and support services such as laundry, shower, and community activities
  • Manage the Shelter budget, reporting, and operational administration
  • Collaborate across the Social Transformation Team to strengthen ministry impact and community engagement

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
