Job Description
United Infrastructure are currently looking for a SHEQ Advisor to provide invaluable health and safety support and advice to teams undertaking works on critical water projects in the North East. Experience of working on civil/utilities projects is essential.
Your Role As SHEQ Advisor Will Involve
Undertaking periodic risk assessments and implementing more robust procedures when necessary Providing specialist SHEQ advice to colleagues / subcontractors Ensuring contracts are compliant and that positive behaviours are embedded in the day to day works of our operational teams
Interpersonal, Supervisory or Management
Good inter-personal skills with proven skills in coaching and motivating people Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all organisational levels (including Senior Managers) Ability to recommend preventative action, develop new initiatives and co-ordinate or ensure their implementation Ability to develop & deliver training/briefing material in an innovative, enjoyable but effective way Demonstrates determination to achieve business goals despite opposition and displays personal commitment

Technical or Specialist
Experienced in auditing and root cause analysis techniques Ability to identify and assess patterns of resistance and effective problem-solving skills A good understanding of CDM Regulations, specifically in relation to Client, Principal Designer & Principal Contractor role.
Qualifications
Essential (at appointment):
NEBOSH Certificate and considerable relevant construction SHE water industry experience. Current full UK driving license
