Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality (SHEQ) Advisor (Connolly Ltd)

Are you passionate about keeping people safe, protecting the environment, and helping teams work to the highest standards? We’re looking for a passionate Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality (SHEQ) Advisor to join Connolly and make a real difference across our projects.

At Connolly, we prioritise strong values and commitment to improving homes and communities. If you care about doing the right thing, enjoy collaborating with people, and seek a role with impactful outcomes—this could be your next step.

About Us

Connolly is a family-run construction, refurbishment, and development company operating within the social housing sector, covering the North West, North Wales, and West Yorkshire.

Our mission is to create safe, sustainable homes and stronger communities while leaving a positive ripple effect. Our long-term ambition? To become the most respected social housing specialist in the North of England.

The Role

Reporting to our SHEQ Manager, this role is essential to promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring projects meet the highest standards, and supporting our teams in conducting work safely.

You’ll work closely with site teams, managers, and contractors, ensuring compliance, safety standards, and continuous improvement across projects—whether in the field or office.

This is a hands-on position where you’ll lead initiatives, build relationships, and foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and trust.

Responsibilities

Champion our SHEQ culture:

  • Promote a positive, proactive environment around Safety, Health, Environment, Quality, and Compliance.

Ensure legal and regulatory compliance:

  • Align with UK Health & Safety laws, ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001), SSIP, and Connolly’s internal policies.
  • Maintain Construction Phase Plans and safety documentation for new sites.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
