SHEQ Systems Engineer
SHEQ Systems Engineer at DEEP Manufacturing
As a SHEQ Systems Engineer at DEEP Manufacturing, you will play a crucial role in the administration and maintenance of our integrated management system (IMS), covering Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety standards. You will work closely with our technical and operations teams to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and accurately. Your primary location will be at our Avonmouth facility, though occasional travel may be required to other facilities within our portfolio.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Maintaining the integrated management system (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Planning and conducting internal audits across quality, environmental, and health & safety scopes.
- Creating quality control plans and conducting product quality inspections.
- Auditing and assessing supply chain members against quality, environmental, and H&S requirements.
- Supporting the SHEQ Manager with external (certification) audits.
- Interacting with external parties (customers and suppliers) for quality, environmental, and H&S-related information.
- Supporting the identification and management of environmental aspects/impacts and H&S risk assessments.
- Supporting incident, accident, and near-miss investigation and reporting.
- Reporting on key business, quality, environmental, and safety metrics.
- Conducting integrated management system reviews.
- Controlling and managing documented information, change, and non-conformance.
- Working to achieve continual improvement activities across the IMS.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 3 years of SHEQ/QA experience within a manufacturing industry — knowledge of welding is desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of:
- ISO 9001:2015
- ISO 14001:2015
- ISO 45001:2018 requirements
- Internal auditing certification and experience is required.
- Previous experience working within an integrated management system covering quality, environmental, and health & safety.
- Proficient in:
- Computer skills (e.g., SharePoint, MS Office applications)
- Document management software
- Strong organizational abilities, qualified to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
- Ready and able to undertake hands-on activities if required.
- Willingness to embrace continuous learning and adapt to new procedures and technologies.
