SHES Advisor
SHES Advisor – Energy (Uxbridge Moor) 🏗️⚡
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced SHES (Safety, Health, Environmental, Security & Quality) Advisor to join our Energy team at our Uxbridge Moor site. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in advising and managing Health & Safety responsibilities while driving continuous improvement in safety performance across our energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Advise Managers and Supervisors on their Health & Safety duties beneath statutory legislation and company procedures.
- Ensure all personnel understand their statutory obligations and company policies, providing tailored advice as needed.
- Assist management in ensuring compliance with all SHESQ (Safety, Health, Environmental, Security & Quality) Plan requirements.
- Conduct accident/incident investigations while analysing failures and proposing safer alternatives to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor and collate SHESQ data to drive continuous improvement, spotting critical safety trends through data analysis.
- Manage audit programmes and execute safety audits when required.
- Engage with project committees, working groups, and joint consultation forums as needed.
- Equip management in proactive Best Practice adoption, while pioneering innovative safety solutions for the business unit.
- Monitor safety-related equipment and processes to maintain operational integrity.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a SHES Advisor or within Health & Safety, Environmental, or compliance roles.
- Extensive experience working on civil engineering or construction projects, preferably within energy or infrastructure sectors.
- SHES professional membership, ideally with a NEBOSH qualification.
- Strong understanding of and capability with:
- ISO 9001 (Quality Management)
- ISO 14001 (Environmental Management)
- BS OHSAS 18001 (or equivalent modern safety standard).
- Proactive, safety-conscious mindset with a commitment to preventing incidents.
