Job Description
Shift Chemist working Days and Nights 12 hour shifts (will be on Monday to Friday during training)
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented QC Chemist to support quality control activities within a manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples and finished products, ensuring compliance with quality standards and laboratory procedures. You will support production teams with technical expertise, maintain accurate laboratory records, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Include
- Performing laboratory analysis and reporting results accurately and efficiently.
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety, environmental compliance and housekeeping.
- Ensuring compliance with quality systems, laboratory procedures and site standards.
- Supporting production with product quality and process control activities.
- Assisting with the development of new products, analytical methods and continuous improvement projects.
- Managing laboratory stock, calibrations and documentation.
- Providing training and guidance to colleagues as required.
- Participating in laboratory audits and maintaining professional knowledge and development.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated chemist looking to develop their technical expertise while playing a key role in ensuring product quality, safety and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- ‘A’ level (or equivalent) in chemistry and/or working towards an HNC/HND
- Experience of a variety of analytical techniques e.g. GC, HPLC, UV/VIS, AA, titration etc.
- Some experience of working in a laboratory environment.
- Computer literate e.g. Microsoft office etc.
- Knowledge of basic H&S in the laboratory
