About The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed qualified Shift Electrician, working a 4 on / 6 off shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights) and reporting directly to the Electrical Maintenance Leader. You will be a fully integrated member of the shift production team responsible for maintaining and improving the day-to-day operational efficiency of area assets, by ensuring regular and efficient electrical maintenance is carried out and problems solved effectively and quickly in order to meet business needs at all times.

What You Will Do

  • Comply with all safety policies ensuring that all machinery safety protection is in place and in correct working order
  • Take seriously the safety of your colleagues/yourself in your operational area, actively promoting safety standards and initiatives
  • Execute maintenance, repairs and root cause analysis (electrical fault finding) on production machinery to maximise machine performance and reliability
  • Review Line priority lists and actively prioritise workload
  • Support the Day Electrical Engineers in continuous improvement projects
  • Use PLC software and equipment to fault find on machinery, make logic modifications and monitor online programs.
  • Assist with site projects when required, including new equipment installations, machine modifications and converting development

Who You Are

  • Qualified Electrical Engineer (NVQ 3 / HNC), preferably multi-skilled
  • Experience working in an FMCG / high speed work environment
  • Proven experience of fault finding and prioritising maintenance activities
  • Expertise and practical experience with PLC’s – Siemens, Allen Bradley
  • Experience with Motor Drive systems (Inverter, Servo, encoder, resolver)
  • Safety focused and a strong team player
