Job Introduction

We are currently looking for a Shift Electrician to join our team in Linford, Stanford-le-Hope. The shift patterns are: Days - 6am - 6pm, Nights - 6pm - 6am.

Main Responsibilities

In the role of Shift Electrician you will be responsible for:

  • Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance activities which include planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery in manufacture of Aircrete block or other similar products.
  • Meet statutory and SHE standards as a minimum.
  • This is a shift role, working on a variety of plant throughout the block manufacturing site as directed on a planned or reactive basis.
  • You will be required to record all work on the site CMMS system.
  • This is a dynamic role, mostly self-motivated and self-supervised with good communication skills.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for the role of Shift Electrician will have experience of:

  • Manufacturing background beneficial
  • Completed a recognised apprenticeship in electrical engineering.
  • Experience of maintaining/replacement of automation control systems including motors, inverter drives, contactors etc.
  • Successfully completed 17th edition BS7671 wiring regulations.
  • PLC programming qualifications Siemens S5 and S7 (desirable but not essential).
  • Fault-finding skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
