Multi-skilled Engineer – Mechanical or Electrical Bias
Location: Bedfordshire Commutable from: Bedford, Biggleswade, St Neots, Huntingdon, Letchworth, Stevenage, Cambridge & Milton Keynes
We're seeking a Multi-skilled Engineer to join our growing team—a manufacturer that prioritises investment in people, training, and equipment.
The Role
You'll play a pivotal role in maintaining operational continuity through:
- Planned and reactive maintenance (mechanical & electrical)
- Fault-finding & problem-solving across production equipment and site systems
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborating with production teams and external contractors
- Ensuring accurate maintenance records and high housekeeping standards

Shift Pattern:
- 12-hour Panama shifts (slow rotation/3s & 2s)
- Every other Friday to Sunday off
Requirements
- Apprentice-trained or holding a recognised engineering qualification
- Multi-skilled with a mechanical or electrical bias
- Experience in food, FMCG, or a manufacturing environment
- Strong fault-finding & problem-solving skills
- Proactive mindset with excellent teamwork abilities

Salary & Benefits
- £54,500 basic salary
- 5% annual bonus (OTE c. £57,000)
- Overtime pay: 1.5x rate, rising to 2x on Sundays & bank holidays
- 22 days holiday, with buy/sell leave options
- 10% pension match
