Do you want to work for a food manufacturer, part of a multinational UK group, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards? Due to growth within the engineering team, they are looking for an electrically biased shift engineer to join their small team of 4 engineers.
Role And Responsibilities Of a Maintenance Engineer
- Carrying out PPM, reactive and predictive maintenance/breakdown analysis
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding, repairs and PPMs
- Working on various high-speed food production lines, processing and packaging machinery
- Site services and facilities maintenance
- Support project work and continuous improvement activities
- PLC and control panels: electrical fault finding and repairs

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Needed to be a Maintenance Engineer
- Must be a multi-skilled engineer: electrically biased
- NVQ / City and Guilds Level 3 or higher in electrical engineering
- Previously have worked in some form of fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Be a problem solver, approachable, with good prioritization skills
- Able to react to breakdowns effectively, safely and efficiently
- Both electrical and mechanical fault-finding capabilities
- Ideally have knowledge of steam boilers
- Desirable experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding
